Millennia Research Limited, located in Victoria, is looking for an experienced archaeologist to fill a full time position. Successful candidate must be eligible to hold permits from the Archaeology Branch, and have knowledge of the Heritage Conservation Act. Other requirements of the job:
- BA in Anthropology/Archaeology
- Previous BC fieldwork experience
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrated report writing skills
- WCB OFA Level 1 (transportation endorsement an asset)
- a high level of physical fitness
- a valid BC driver's licence
Applicants must be highly organized, and must demonstrate their supervisory abilities, as well as their communication skills with clients, government agents and First Nations. Preference will be given to applicants who are members of the BCAPA. Work may take place in all areas of BC, so candidate must be prepared to spend time away from home. Wage will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefit package available with full-time employment.
